Product Overview

The TIP-2025 is a PIR (passive infrared) motion sensor switch with built-in photosensitivity for DC5–24V LED lighting. It switches LED lights on automatically when a person moves within a 3–5 m sensing range, then turns them off after an adjustable delay of 18–360 seconds. It handles up to 5A and measures 43 × 35.7 × 25.5 mm, so it fits cabinets, wardrobes, cupboards, corridors and stairways.

Key Features

  • PIR Motion Sensing: Detects the infrared change caused by a moving human body and switches the LED load on and off automatically.
  • Photosensitive: Includes a built-in light-sensing function.
  • 3–5 m Sensing Range: Suitable for close-range triggering in cabinets, wardrobes and narrow corridors.
  • Adjustable Delay 18–360 s: Sets how long the lights stay on after the last detected movement.
  • Wide Voltage Range: Works with DC5V, 12V and 24V LED systems (input 5–24V).
  • 5A Maximum Current: Maximum load is 25 W at 5V, 60 W at 12V, or 120 W at 24V (calculated from voltage × 5A).
  • Compact Size: 43 × 35.7 × 25.5 mm, weight 30 g.

How It Works

The built-in PIR sensor detects infrared energy changes caused by a moving human body. When movement occurs within the 3–5 m sensing range, the switch turns the connected LED lights on. When no movement is detected for the preset delay (18–360 s), the lights turn off automatically.

Installation Notes

  • Connect to a DC5–24V LED power supply. Do NOT connect directly to mains AC.
  • Keep the total load within 5A (for example, no more than 60 W on a 12V supply).
  • Mount the sensor where the detection area is unobstructed.
  • Check that positive and negative wiring is correct before powering on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What is the TIP-2025?
A PIR motion sensor switch with photosensitivity for DC5–24V LED lighting. It turns lights on when it detects movement within 3–5 m and off after an adjustable delay.

Q2. What voltage and load can it handle?
Input is DC5–24V with a maximum current of 5A. That corresponds to about 25 W at 5V, 60 W at 12V and 120 W at 24V.

Q3. Does it have a light sensor?
Yes. The TIP-2025 is listed with photosensitivity.

Q4. How long do the lights stay on?
The delay is adjustable from 18 to 360 seconds after the last detected movement.

Q5. What is the detection range?
3–5 meters.

Q6. Can I connect it directly to 220V mains?
No. It must be used with a DC5–24V LED power supply.
